IMPERIAL OPAL  925 Silver Earrings
 
Imperial opal, also known as Ethiopian opal, comes from Wegel Tena and is a hydrophane, but it differs greatly from Australian hydrophane opal. The porous nature of hydrophane opal allows it to absorb water. When hydrophane opal is submerged in water, it absorbs some of it and displays a colorful display that fades or disappears as the stone dries.
