This beautiful specimin is 10.6 grams in weight and measures 4 cm at longest point.
3 dainty points crossing one another.  A lot of small points making up the detail and the leaf like nautre of this peice. 
Serifos comes in a number of forms; wands, clusters, crosses and leaf like shapes.  Colour ranges from Amethyst and citrine, through to light green to dark green.  Translucent tapered quartz crystals with green colour due to microscopic hedenbergite-actinolite-crossite inclusions.

Serifos green quartz OR Prase/prasem has become extremely rare since mass mining of sea caves in Serifos, Greece ceased in 1965.  The poplualtion at this time rose from 1500 to over 4000 approx. at the height of the mining era.
  
These pieces were bought from a private collection that has not seen the light for 30 years, in an Ashram where I studied Yoga, making them that bit extra special.  ALL the crystals bought from here have an energy that can't really be put into words.
